Vintage Ashland Day
September 12, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Come to the market and find out what happened in Ashland during the years of PROHIBITION (1920 – 1933). The Community Tent will have information and artifacts from this tumultuous time. Alcohol was illegal in Ashland during this period and keeping the town “dry” was quite a challenge. Test your knowledge of some prohibition “terminology”.
Get into the spirit of the day with period dress: a hat, shirt, or skirt would add to the fun.
Moonshine Alley will play old time mountain music at the Arts Ashland Alliance Music Stage from 10:30 a.m. –12:30 p.m.
At the Kids Corner 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Tobi Hoffman will guide kids in making collages.
Some antique cars will be on display together with the popular antique tractor from Medway Community Farm.
The Cultural Council will be at the Town Tent.
And don’t miss our annual heirloom tomato tasting. Choose your favorites from more than six heirloom types.
