Wine & Cheese Day

Guest vendors will offer cheeses and wines to sample.

Zoll Cellars will be on hand with an amazing array of hand-crafted New England wines and hard ciders. Aaronap Cellars will bring their unique artisinal wines – and will also be holding a FREE drawing for an amazing wine tasting experience in your own home! Stop by the Market Managers’ Tent or look for a volunteer handing out tickets to enter. We’ll also have Coastal Vineyards on hand featuring small batch fine wines made from their own estate grown grapes.

For those who like to think outside the (wine) box, come and taste the delicious honey wines from the 1634 Meadery.

Now on to the cheese! Hickory Nut Farm will have delicious hard goat cheeses and goat’s milk yogurts. Foxboro Cheese joins us with their famous Asiago and Fromage Blanc varieties.  Contoocook Creamery  is a local, family-owned dairy farm that has been in business for 5 generations. They offer a variety of cheddar cheeses including maple smoked and garlic cheddar.

And for something a little different (and spicy!), try the pepper jelly cheese tort from Stir It Up Cuisine.

We’ll have a fun, cork-themed craft going on at the Kid’s Corner from 9:30-10:30 am.

Whiskey in the Jar celtic band will entertain at the Arts Ashland Alliance Music Stage from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Annemarie’s Dance Centre students will perform at 11:15.

Bring your kitchen knives, pruning tools, and scissors to Patti of On the Edge Knife Sharpening for the edges they deserve. Patti will be at the market on the 4th Saturday of the month throughout the season.
