Christine Graham, teacher at Ashland High School, recently took her students to visit Medway Community Farm. This trip was made possible by an AFM Education Grant!

The field trip was great! The kids really enjoyed seeing things we had learned about first hand! It was great that it was so close to home as well, so it was clear that local people are focused on farming in sustainable ways and it was something they can get involved in and be connected to close to home! They saw lots of good evidence of methods of maintaining good soil quality with high levels of nutrients, as we talked a lot about, as well as methods to decrease pests, soil erosion, water usage etc. It was great! Thank you and AFM again for having the idea to bring a school group there.
